Blogging from A to Z: Day 18 – Rhetoric

Happy Saturday readers! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekends! I know I’m super busy with my final projects for the semester… It’s so stressful! I’m just stopping by with another short discussion post for you all. It’s day 18 f the challenge, which means we are on the letter “R” and I’ve decided my word is going to be rhetoric.

So what is rhetoric? It’s a form of persuasive argument normally done through writing or speech. Some say it can even be described as the art of “eloquence and charismatic language.” In simpler terms, it takes a person of talent to really know how to manipulate persuasive arguments to get readers or listeners to believe what you’ve written/spoke.

So my question to you all is this: what forms of rhetoric have you been able to spot in your readings? Is it purly a more academic form or can in be found in the world of fiction? I would love to hear what you all have to say on this one!
